A Letter from the Northeastern Jets Boosters President

2008-2009

Welcome to another great year of Northeastern Jets Athletics and Academics. Last year, the Jets captured four Ohio Heritage Conference Championships in Boy’s Cross Country, Boy’s Tennis, Wrestling and Boy’s Track. Our hopes and support are with all the teams this year.

The Boosters are still working toward the goal of paying off the stadium bleachers. Five years ago the Boosters assumed a $210,000 loan for the bleachers. We have reduced that loan to $35,000 dollars with hard work. I would personally like to thank all of you, who helped with your donations, time helping with the concessions and all of our fundraisers. Unfortunately, we have lost our major fundraiser, the contract with the State Fair to clean out the horse stalls.

I would encourage each of you to join in our goal to pay off the bleaches this year. With help from everyone, we will be able to succeed. Our focus can return to helping students in a variety of areas. We have already scheduled our fundraising events for this year:

February 7^th Longaberger Basket Bingo

April 18^th Golden Splendor Dinner/Auction

The Boosters have supported our students in various activities along with paying the loan on the bleachers. Also, the Boosters have been able to help fund the pole vault area and pit. Other areas of support went to the Speech and Debate Club and the Powerlifiting Team’s tri to the National Powerlifting meet in Oklahoma.
