Immunization Alert for 2010/2011 7th Graders
New Immunization Requirement for 2010/2011 School Year
Effective
with the 2010/2011 school year, one dose of Tdap
(Tetanus, diphtheria, and acellular pertussis, adolescent and adult
formulation) or Td
(Tetanus and diphtheria, adult) vaccine shall be required prior to entry into the seventh grade. This
dose is intended to be administered as a booster dose for students who
have completed the required doses of the initial series of DTap/DT/Td
vaccine.
Please
check with your physician or the Health Department (390-5600) to verify
your child’s immunization status and schedule this booster if necessary.
A copy of your child’s immunizations may be brought or faxed to
school.
