Distance Learning Update - March 13, 2020

Dear Northeastern Local School District Families,

Thank you for your support and patience as we work out the details of the three week closure that will begin on Tuesday, March 17, as ordered by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine.

I wanted to update you with some information about what to expect during this time for your students.

From March 17-20, our staff will be preparing distance learning for students. Students will not have assignments during this time, but we encourage them to keep reading and practicing the skills they’ve been working on at school.

March 23-27 will be Spring Break as planned. Students will not have assigned work during this time.

Students will have assigned work each day Monday, March 30, through Friday, April 3. During normal school hours, teachers will be available by email to answer questions.

If Internet access is a concern for your family, please let your child’s teacher know or call the school they attend so we can work with you to find solutions so your child can continue to engage in planned learning during the closure.

We will share more details next week about distance learning and what it means for your student. Thank you for your partnership throughout the last few days and in the weeks to come.

Sincerely,

Dr. John Kronour

Superintendent
