April 20, 2020 NELSD Update

Dear NELSD Families,
The Northeastern Local School District will continue with distance learning for the remainder of the school year, in accordance with Ohio Governor Mike DeWine’s April 20, 2020 order to keep all Ohio school buildings closed for the remainder of the school year.
We know that this announcement raises many questions for students, families, and teachers; we also have many questions about how we move forward from here. As we learn more from the state in the coming days, we will share information with families.
For now, we will move forward as planned for learning in our district. We will continue with our distance learning as planned through May 1 and. will also continue to offer meal pick-ups for families on Mondays and Wednesdays between 11:30 a.m. and noon.
Our facilities and grounds remain closed at this time. Our teachers and staff are still hard at work to continue to provide meaningful distance learning opportunities to students. If you have any questions about how distance learning is delivered, please contact your child’s building principal.
We remain grateful for your continued partnership during these challenging times. Our top priority is for our students, our staff, and our community to be safe and healthy. Although we miss our students, we are proud of everyone for working together to make the best of these difficult circumstances. We will continue to keep you updated via email, text, social media, and our website, at nelsd.org.

Once again, thank you.
