Fifth grade students at Northeastern worked on their United States map puzzles.ย Beginning in September, these budding scholars took a deep dive into learning about the nation's five regions and their landforms, waterways, natural resources, products, climate, and rich cultural nuances that make each region unique.

Giving back is an excellent virtue to hold, and the Northeastern High School National Honors Society surely got to learn the importance of charitable giving. โค๏ธ๐Ÿค

๐Ÿ“These students traveled out to a local elementary school, where they worked closely with the โ€œShoes 4 The Shoelessโ€ Nonprofit, and the Springfield JROTC, to give out shoes to over 160 children! ๐Ÿšธ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ

๐Ÿ‘Ÿ Shoes 4 the Shoeless is always looking for more donations, if you would like to aid in their mission to: โ€œprovide new, properly fitting gym shoes and socks to children in need,โ€ please visit their website! ๐ŸŽ‰

Meet Mrs. Laura Clay, or to her 5th-grade students, Mrs.Slay! She is a 1995 graduate of Kenton Ridge High School. She has coached volleyball over the years for both Kenton Ridge Varsity, JV, and Northridge Middle School๐Ÿ. Clay gives back to Kenton Ridge by volunteering, you can sometimes see her helping at the concession stands and Touch of Gold. She really is all that and deserves some recognition!
