NELSD would like to welcome you to the online program. You have reviewed our district’s options and have made this selection because it best fits both your student and your family’s needs. As a district, we want to accommodate you to the best of our ability, and we thank you for all of the thoughtful feedback that went into making this decision. The goal of this webpage is to provide information, timelines and links of what will occur for online school.
Good afternoon, Northeastern Local School District families. As we approach October, families in the 100 percent online learning option are invited to reevaluate their learning model decision. Families who would like to return to in-person learning at this time can complete a form, found below and in the news section of our website, by 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 28. A form must be completed for each student who will return to school. The first day of in-person learning for these students will be Monday, October 5, 2020.
Families can also choose to remain in online learning and do not have to complete any forms to do so. These families will have the opportunity to revisit their learning model selection again in January.
Please note that online grades will follow students returning to the classroom and will be factored into the student's first quarter grade.
In-person learners are currently attending school four days a week and learn at home on Wednesday. This continues through Friday, October 9, and a decision about how attendance will proceed after that will be announced on Friday, October 2.
If you have any questions about returning to in-person learning, please contact Rob Linkhart at [email protected]
. Thank you and have a good night.
