I was born and raised in Piqua Ohio home to the Piqua Indians. I was an Indian born and Indian bred. I was the high school mascot. I was totally engrossed in every art class I could take.I graduated from PHS. Continued at Edison State Community College where I earned an A.A. in Liberal Arts concentration in oil painting. Attended Wright State University and earned a B. A. in FIne Arts concentration in stone sculpting and MEd. in Visual Arts Education K-12. I have my own restoration business. I restore stone and concrete sculptures. I raised my three children as a single mom and have five grand children. I did my student teaching at Troy High School. I then subbed for 4 years with five to seven different school districts. That experience has made me a better teacher. I did a long term substitute position at Kenton Ridge and fell in love with the school district. I was then hired to Northeastern May 2015. It was time for me to fly! Go Jets! I love being with family, art, cooking, riding bikes and swimming for fun. I absolutely love NEHS!

After graduating high school I attended Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio. I spent 5 years there studying fine art and education. I left ONU in the spring of 2006 with my BFA and Ohio teaching license. Shortly after college, I received a full-time position working for Michel Bayne Pottery in Greenville, South Carolina. We made historical recreations of southern pottery from the 19th century. Our biggest accomplishment was creating a couple pieces of work for former president George H.W. Bush. In the fall of 2008 I moved back home to be closer to family and substitute taught for 2 years. I was then hired on at Northeastern High School in the fall of 2010 and have been here since. I am also the boys’ golf coach.
