Board Members

The NELSD  Board of Education consists of five members. It is the responsibility of the Board of Education to establish policies and be legally responsible for the education of the children of our district. NELSD Board Mission Statement

The mission of the Northeastern Board of Education is to promote student achievement and staff growth in a culture of unity and trust throughout the district and community.

The Northeastern Local School Board members:

  • agree to always put children's interest first;

  • will strive to keep focused on the primary work of clarifying the district purpose, direction and goals, and monitoring district performance;

  • will strive for a positive working relationship with the superintendent and treasurer, honoring their respective authority to advise the board, implement board policy, and administer the district;

  • actively listen to the constituent who address him/her personally then follow the "chain of command" directing them back to the superintendent.
