I grew up in Mount Vernon, Ohio and graduated from Mt. Vernon Senior High School back when big hair was popular. I received my bachelor’s degree in English from Wittenberg University and began teaching at Catholic Central here in Springfield. I followed in my grandma’s footsteps by studying school counseling and received a master’s degree from the University of Dayton. In 1996, I became a Jet and have had the opportunity to work with a number of clubs and organizations at Northeastern.
My time out of school is spent with my husband, Jeff, and daughter, Kate. We are big Buckeye and Reds fans and most weekends you can find me rooting on my daughter at her volleyball and softball tournaments.

After teaching at Springfield North High School, I became a Northeastern Jet in 2005. I grew up in Cedarville, Ohio, and was blessed with the opportunity to become a Jet and teach in a local, rural public school. I currently teach Freshman and Sophomore English. I am an avid Kentucky Wildcat amidst a host of Buckeyes at NEHS. In my time outside of NEHS, I enjoy time with my family, especially my two boys. I also enjoy being outdoors, riding horses, and watching college basketball.
