Shining Staff Spotlight: Deputy Tyler Reaver

Meet Northeastern’s amazing School Resource Officer and this week’s shining staff spotlight, Deputy Tyler Reaver. Deputy Reaver is an outstanding member of the Northeastern community and goes beyond the call of duty every day.

As a proud Northeastern graduate, Deputy Reaver creates an environment that makes everyone feel safe and supported. Every morning, he can be found at the school entrance, greeting students with a warm smile and a cheerful ‘good morning,’ setting a welcoming and positive tone for the day. Whether he is greeting students, participating in school events, or leading impactful safety workshops—such as a recent session on conflict resolution that earned praise from attendees and parents—Deputy Reaver inspires everyone throughout the building. His dedication shines through in his three years of service at Northeastern, where he embodies what it means to be a true community partner.

Beyond the uniform, Deputy Reaver finds joy in various activities and family time. His wife, Alex, an outstanding fourth-grade teacher at Northeastern, and his daughter, Aubrey, a first-grader, share his deep connection to the district. Together, they exemplify a family committed to the community. Deputy Reaver is also an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hunting and channeling his creativity through intricate woodworking projects in his barn. In the summer months, his competitive spirit comes alive on the softball field, where he’s known for his powerful swings and unwavering team spirit.

When asked what he enjoys most about work, Deputy Reaver shared his enthusiasm for giving back to the community he grew up in. His passion for service and his commitment to fostering a safe and supportive environment leave a lasting impression on students, staff, and families alike.
