Shining Staff Spotlight: Mrs. Meghan Curt
This week, we are excited to shine a well-deserved spotlight on Mrs. Megan Curt, a remarkable 6th-grade English and Social Studies Teacher at Northeastern Middle School (NEMS). Known for her kind-hearted nature, engaging teaching style, and unwavering commitment to helping students reach their full potential, Mrs. Curt creates a classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.
For the past ten years, Mrs. Curt has dedicated herself to NEMS, bringing both passion and creativity to her lessons in English and Social Studies. Her meticulous planning ensures that every lesson is meaningful, challenging, and tailored to help students thrive. It's clear that her goal is not just to teach but to inspire students to become lifelong learners.
Mrs. Curt, a proud Kenton Ridge High School (KRHS) graduate, continued her academic pursuits at Wittenberg University, earning her bachelor's degree. She later completed her master's degree at North Central University. Her academic journey reflects the dedication she passes on to her students each day.
Mrs. Curt's impact extends beyond the classroom as she spearheads the planning of the annual 6th-grade trip to Camp Wilson. This immersive experience allows students to bridge their classroom lessons with engaging, hands-on activities in the great outdoors. This trip provides students with the chance to develop crucial skills such as teamwork and problem-solving, all while creating cherished memories outside the traditional classroom setting.
When she’s not working hard for her students, Mrs. Curt enjoys spending quality time with her family, especially her adventurous daughter. Exploring new places and creating family memories has become a favorite pastime for them.
We are incredibly proud to have Mrs. Curt as part of the NEMS family. Her dedication, genuine kindness, and tireless efforts have made a lasting impact on the lives of her students, and she continues to go above and beyond to ensure their success, both in and out of the classroom. We are deeply appreciative of everything you do, Mrs. Curt, and for your ongoing dedication to our students' success!
