Meet Mrs. Paula Collins, a remarkable first-grade teacher at Northeastern Elementary School (NEES), and this week's Shining Staff Spotlight. With 27 years of experience in our district, Mrs. Collins truly embodies school spirit and a love for teaching. Her favorite things about NEES are the family atmosphere and the amazing students she gets the opportunity to work with!

Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Collins enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is married to her husband Ryan and has two stepdaughters, Katelyn and Haleigh. Mrs. Collins also has a well-loved dog named Bently. She loves playing competitive card games and taking Bently on walks.

Mrs. Collins is full of adventure as she loves to travel. She has officially checked off visiting all 50 states after an Alaskan cruise this past summer. No matter where she is traveling, Mrs. Collins is always looking to spend time in nature.

NEES is very fortunate to have Mrs. Collins as a first-grade teacher. She has left an impact on many students and continues to spread positivity in and out of the classroom. You truly shine on your students, Mrs. Collins. Thank you for your remarkable dedication to NELSD.
