Shining Staff Spotlight: Mrs. Karen Krogg
This week, we are excited to shine the spotlight on Mrs. Karen Krogg, one of our extraordinary Speech-Language Pathologists here at Northeastern Local School District (NELSD). With her incredibly positive attitude and loving heart, we are fortunate to have her at our Northeastern Campus. Since she joined us, she has made our school a better place! Though it's only her second year in the building, her impact has spread quickly throughout Northeastern Elementary School (NEES), and her hard work has definitely not gone unnoticed!
"Karen is an outstanding, patient, and kind therapist who connects incredibly well with our students. She helps them develop essential communication skills, from expressing their wants and needs to understanding others and working socially with peers," said Director of Pupil Services Mr. Steve Linson. "Karen works seamlessly with our teachers in the classroom, provides individual services, and is always willing to jump in and help. She consistently puts the needs of the kids first, making a positive impact every day."
Mrs. Krogg is a loving wife to her husband, Jon, and a devoted mother to her two children, Nate and Ellen. She’s also a wonderful fur mama to her dog, Moo! When she’s not spending time with her family, she enjoys reading medieval history, taking walks or hikes, and traveling. Mrs. Krogg is a proud high school graduate of Archbishop Hoban in Akron. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from Kent State University, followed by a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of North Texas. With the knowledge and helpful skills she gained during her studies, Mrs. Krogg works each day to improve her students' minds and attitudes!
When asked about her favorite part of working at Northeastern Local School District, Mrs. Krogg said, “I love the friendly atmosphere and having the chance to work with my amazing students!” Her dedication and positive attitude inspire both staff and students, and she makes a lasting impact daily!
Mrs. Krogg’s commitment to her students and her consistent positive attitude make her an invaluable member of our team. We look forward to seeing all the great things she will continue to achieve! Thank you, Mrs. Krogg, for bringing your joy and expertise to NELSD. We are truly fortunate to have you as part of our school community.
