Prepare to be dazzled! Introducing an artistic sensation, this week’s Shining Student Spotlight and Kenton Ridge Elementary School third-grader, Caidence D. She's a budding artist with a flair for the dramatic, a passion for drawing, and a love for art music. Get ready to be amazed by her talent!

Caidence’s passion for the arts⸺visual and performing⸺is undeniable to anyone who chats with her for more than a few minutes. Her love for the arts stems from learning piano, and finding new styles to draw in, and taking dance classes. Caidence dreams of being a singer or an animator when she grows up, and she is incredibly proud that she has learned to draw anime characters. She has a unique taste in music for her age, with a love for rock. Her favorite songs include "Not Your Neighbor" by Rocket Music and "I Was Made for Lovin' You" by Kiss, her all-time favorite band!

When it comes to Cougar Spirit, Caidence proudly represents Kenton Ridge by wearing cougar attire lovingly made by her mom and is always excited to show off the Cougar Roar. She believes in being kind to everyone and following the Cougar Roar rules, and she encourages younger students to be themselves and treat others with kindness.

Caidence treasures her time in Mrs. Blaker and Mrs. Clay's classes, especially her pen pal adventures and the unforgettable field trip to see The SpongeBob Musical. She really enjoys the learning experiences she has had in her accelerated classes with Mrs. Black-Striley. Her favorite teacher, Mrs. Everheart, admires Caidence’s big heart, always noticing how others are feeling and bringing joy to their days.

With her creativity, compassion, and love for all things artistic, there's no doubt that Caidence will continue to shine brightly!
