This week, we have a special addition to our student spotlight for our last feature of the 2024-25 school year. Meet Meah and Ella, two inspiring seniors from Northeastern High School (NEHS) who have spent their high school years leading with purpose, passion, and perseverance. As twins, they’ve shared many experiences, but their individual strengths and drive make them stand out in their own unique ways.

For both Meah and Ella, their faith is at the center of their lives. As active members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, they are deeply involved in their church’s youth group and Sunday services. “We love getting to learn more about and spread awareness about God, Jesus Christ, and their gospel,” they share. Their involvement has taught them leadership, event planning, and, most importantly, how to build strong, meaningful connections with others.

Meah and Ella are currently two of the three Valedictorians at Northeastern. They set this goal back in eighth grade and have supported each other every step of the way. “Although it was hard, we are proud of ourselves for setting a goal and achieving it,” they say. Their drive, determination, and hard work have truly paid off.

Both girls have been incredibly involved in school and community life through clubs, sports, and leadership positions.

Meah serves as Vice President of the National Honor Society, Secretary of Student Government, and is active in the Leo Club, the Spanish Club, and varsity soccer. Outside of school, she enjoys playing classical guitar and ukulele, adventuring with friends, playing pickleball, and spending time with family.

Ella is Vice President of Student Government, Treasurer of the National Honor Society, and a member of the Leo Club and the Spanish Club. Like her sister, she played varsity soccer and enjoys playing piano, hanging out with friends, and going shopping.

Ella and Meah are incredible students who have advice ready to help underclassmen have a great high school experience.  Meah encourages others to get involved and aim high: “When you set a goal, try your best to achieve it—and even if you don’t reach it, appreciate the progress you make.” Ella adds, “You’re going to school anyway—so make it count! Get involved, stay positive, and take chances on new experiences.”

The future is very bright for these two as both Meah and Ella are headed to Brigham Young University–Idaho this fall. Meah plans to major in Industrial Organizational Psychology, while Ella will study Speech Pathology. After their first year, each will pause to serve an 18-month mission for their church, then return to complete their studies.

Congratulations, girls. We are proud to have you as part of the Jet family and can’t wait to see what's next for you two!
