This week, we are excited to highlight Clara C, a kind and outgoing fourth grader here at Kenton Ridge Elementary School (KRES)! Clara loves to spend her free time reading, especially horror and mystery books because they are really interesting and exciting. Her favorite book series is “The Babysitters Club”—a classic that first hit the shelves in 1986 and is still a favorite among young readers today!

Clara recently earned the ROAR award for demonstrating her hard work and positive attitude. She also knows that learning can come with challenges, like when she had to tackle writing a daunting three-page essay about ring-tailed lemurs. Through great effort, she successfully completed the assignment and earned a good grade.

In the classroom, Clara is a valuable member who is always willing to lend a helping hand, especially when it comes to math.  Her kindness and helpful nature make her a great friend and asset to her peers. Outside of school, Clara expresses her creativity through dance. When asked what advice she would give to third graders about fourth grade, she said, "Study and make sure you pay attention."

Looking towards the future, Clara dreams of becoming a singer. She admires Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter and hopes to follow in their footsteps. Her passions don’t just stop with her musical aspirations. Clara also has a big love for cats, dreams of visiting Paris, and enjoys playing with her little sister, who she considers her best friend. And, of course, no spotlight on Clara would be complete without mentioning her favorite color—pink! With her kindness, determination, and big dreams, there’s no doubt that Clara is destined to shine wherever life takes her!
