Earn College Credit While In High School
College Credit Plus is a program providing an opportunity for students to earn both high school and college credit.
WHO’S ELIGIBLE? Students who will be entering grades 7-12 for the 2021-2022 academic year may be eligible to participate in College Credit Plus (CCP). Students must gain acceptance to a participating college or university and meet its entrance testing requirement.
ANNUAL INFORMATIONAL SESSION: This year the informational session is available to view through the NEHS website. Information regarding representatives from local colleges and universities will also be included. Students and parents should view the informational powerpoints prior to completing and submitting the “Intent to Participate” form to the Guidance Office. These powerpoints meet the requirement to receive counseling regarding the College Credit Plus program, rules and regulations, as well as the benefits and possible risks of participating.
APRIL 1ST DEADLINE: The Ohio Department of Education has set April 1 as the deadline for students to submit a signed “Intent to Participate” form to their high school guidance office. This form is required for college courses taken at the high school as well as those taken at the college or on-line. NOTE: Submitting the “Intent to Participate” form by the deadline is required for all students to participate in CCP for the 2021-2022 school year.
