Rolling Hills Elementary School, South Vienna Elementary School, and Northeastern Middle & High School Virtual on 12/15, 12/16 & 12/17

12/14/21

Dear NELSD Families,

The Northeastern Local School District is committed to the safety and health of our students and staff. Therefore, we want to inform you that because of an increase of positive COVID -19 cases and quarantines, in addition to staff shortages and students being sent home sick, the following school buildings will move to full-time remote learning for all students on Wednesday, December 15 through Friday, December 17, 2021:

  • South Vienna Elementary School

  • Rolling Hills Elementary School

  • Northeastern Middle School and High School

This decision was reached in consultation with the Clark County Combined Health District’s (CCCHD) Health Commissioner Charles Patterson. We will continue to evaluate our numbers and work closely with the CCCHD on our plans moving forward.

To see the virtual schedule that your child should be following please look over the  NELSD Remote Learning Framework which is available on our website or by clicking here

For South Vienna Elementary School families who need lunch, please come to the front door at South Vienna Elementary School between 11:15 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. to pick up a lunch that can be heated up at home.

For Rolling Hills  Elementary School families who need lunch, please come to the front door at Rolling Hills Elementary School between 11:15 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. to pick up a lunch that can be heated up at home.

For Northeastern Middle School and High School families who need lunch, please come to the back band door at Northeastern High School between 11:15 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. to pick up a lunch that can be heated up at home.

Transportation will be provided for students attending the CTC and STEM. However, South Vienna families will need to meet the bus at South Vienna Elementary School in the morning and after school for pick-up.

While after school activities are still slated to take place, we will be asking students and parents to follow stricter COVID-19 protocols like social distancing and hand washing.

The health and safety of our students and staff is our highest priority. Please stay tuned for more information in the coming days.

Sincerely,

Dr. John Kronour
Superintendent
Northeastern Local School District
