Fall Blood Drive

Attention students 16 years and older!  The Student Government will be sponsoring its Fall Blood Drive  The date is Monday, November 1st.  This will take place in the Gym.  Blood donation times start at 8:20 for students and the last time for donation starts at 10:50.  See Mr. Adkins to sign up.  

16-year-olds need to have a consent form signed by a parent.  All donors must have an ID on the day of the blood drive.  Help Give the Gift of Life!


Middle School Students get out there and sell Little Caesar’s Pizza and Cookie Kits to your family, friends, and neighbors!  Don’t forget to ask Staff here at NEHS.  The time is ticking down! The sale ends Wednesday, October 13th. This important fundraiser supports the MS incentive field trips and PBIS Store! Every kit sold HELPS :)

Powder Puff Shirt Purchases - Please visit the link below to purchase short and long sleeve shirts as well as crew neck sweatshirts and hoodies.  Orders MUST be made by 11:59 PM on Sunday, October 17th.  All items will be delivered to the Ag department the week of Pink Powder Puff (week of November 1-5) and then delivered to individuals.  Proceeds from every shirt will be donated to the Clark County Breast Cancer Endowment Fund.  Please help us raise funds for the Endowment fund and support our Powder Puff event.  'Let's Lei Out Cancer'


Clark County Public Library seeking Spooky Short Story Contest entries

Entries due by TODAY!! 11:59 p.m. Monday, October 11th

We want to hear your best spooky story! If you live in Clark County and between the ages of 6 and 18, submit your best, original, most scary story, for a chance to win prizes AND the opportunity to have your recorded, winning story, shared online! (if 18, must still be in HS)


Stories will be judged on originality, creativity and spookiness (not violent content). Original stories only (use of copyrighted material is prohibited). Stories will become the property of the Clark County Public Library and will not be returned.  Incomplete submissions will not be accepted. (Employees and their family members of household are not eligible to win) Story must be sent as a Word document or PDF and should be between 100 and 250 words in length. Send original story to [email protected] by 11:59pm on Monday, October 11, 2021. Submissions must include your first and last name, age/grade, address, phone number and the parent or guardian signature stating that they give permission. There will be two winners in each age group: 6-8, 912, 13-18. Winners must be able to come to the Main Library to read the story or be present while library staff reads their story on October 27th at 6:30pm.


If (due to COVID restrictions) we cannot have in -person event, we would like the winners to be able to submit an audio recording of them reading their original story, with permission from their parent/guardian to post it online (only first name will be given). If not possible, that is fine. We will still post their first name and title of their story. Awards may be picked up at the Main Library.

Last Week's HS results:

Football beat West Liberty Salem 42-21 to extend their record to 5-3. We are currently sitting 9th in the region. The top 16 make it to the playoffs.

Volleyball beat Mechanicsburg last Thursday. They play Triad at home Tuesday then face West Liberty Salem on Thursday which will decide the OHC Championship.

Cross Country competed at Mechanicsburg last weekend and will run at the OHC Championships this coming weekend.
