I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Ashland University with a BS in Education. My license is in Family and Consumer Sciences, which was known in the past as "Home Ec." I have always wanted to be a teacher. When I learned about Family and Consumer Sciences, I knew that subject area would be the perfect fit for me. I have taught for the Gibsonburg Exempted Village School District and the Delaware City School District. I started teaching at Northeastern in August of 1994.
My husband and I live in South Vienna with our daughter, a 2014 NEHS graduate and son, who is currently attending NEHS. I also teach 1st grade CCD at St. Teresa Parish. In my spare time, I like to work on scrapbooks, crochet, sew, read and have game night or movie night with my family and friends.

I was born and raised in Clark County on a dairy farm and graduated in 1982 from Southeastern, where I was very active in 4-H, FFA, Farm Bureau and church. I received my State FFA degree in 1982. Continuing my education, I attended The Ohio State University where I majored in Agriculture Education and Economics. I completed my student teaching experience at Northwestern High School with Larry Lokai. I graduated with my Bachelor of Science degree in 1986 and worked in Madison County for the Soil and Water Conservation District as their Program Administrator for 3 years. I went on to work as a Customer Service Supervisor for seven years for Andersons General Store in Worthington, Ohio. The last 18 years, I have spent working for EDS/HP in training & development and as a business analyst supporting GMAC/Ally business client. Always wanting to return to my roots of agriculture and teaching, I was hired as the second Vocational Agriculture teacher at Northeastern High School in August 2012. I truly feel I am working my dream career now and feel so blessed to be working at Northeastern High School.
My husband, Phil, and I live in Clark county on our eight acres of heaven with our Schnauzer, Chloe. We continue to raise purebred jersey heifers with my parents. I am chairman of the Clark County Junior Fair Dairy Committee, fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and participate in many of our church activities. In my spare time, I love cooking and baking, gardening and photography. When time and the opportunity is present, I love playing recreational volleyball. I also enjoy spending time with my family and cherish time with my nephew and niece.
